After dating for three years, Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed their breakup to Page Six, calling it a “semi-separation.”
They still get along and will continue to co-parent their year-old boy, X A-Xii Musk, despite their split, he said. In an interview with the publication, he said, “Even though we’re semi-separated, we’re still in love with each other and visit each other often. SpaceX and Tesla jobs need me to be mainly in Texas or travel internationally, while her employment is primarily located in Los Angeles. She has moved into the room next to mine, and Baby X is in the other corner.”
At the Met Gala earlier this month, where they initially announced their romance in 2018, they made their last public appearance as a pair. It’s worth noting that although Musk stayed away from Grimes’ pre-dinner stroll, he was there for her after-party at the exclusive members-only club, zero bonds.
A new competition program for Fox called Alter Ego has begun shooting with the singer as one of the judges while Musk has been working in Texas on his companies. “I believe having a kid was a huge rebirth for me, creatively,” she said in a video for Vogue on her life as a new mother. I have no idea what that is. Something about the phrase “I am a mother” elicits a strange reaction. That term doesn’t ring any bells for me. It’s also odd since X calls me Claire, but he doesn’t call me mama…maybe he senses my dislike of the term “mother”
