In advance of their discussion with Harris, two of the co-hosts of ‘The View’ tested positive for the drug Covid
Before interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris, “The View” presenters Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro both tested positive for Covid-19, forcing the remaining hosts into a live-on-television rush to fill space as the program altered its plans.
According to a White House official, Harris had no prior contact with Hostin or Navarro. After a hiccup, Harris resumed the interview from a different location.
According to two people with knowledge of the situation, Covid-19 was found to be absent in both Hostin and Navarro’s blood tests on Friday.
According to the sources, both Hostin and Navarro had negative results on a fast test and a PCR test. Both are awaiting the results of a further PCR test, according to the sources.
A spokesman for “The View” did not immediately return a call seeking clarification.
Joy Behar, the presenter of “The View,” revealed the first positive findings after Hostin and Navarro were asked to leave the set during the program. Navarro and Hostin took their places at the head of the table with the other hosts as the show began.
After they departed the stage, the tables were disinfected and scrubbed,
according to Behar, who proceeded to present the program with co-host Sara Haines. Hostin and Navarro, according to Behar, were completely protected.
Both of Harris’ Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccination injections were given in front of the camera.
“I pray that you’re safe at this moment. For the simple reason that you are so valuable to us, we did all we could to keep you safe. ” The first thing Behar said to Harris was at the beginning of their conversation.
Harris had this to say when asked about the situation: “Thank you, Joy, and thank you to everyone else who participated. While Sunny and Ana are strong ladies and I’m sure they’ll be OK, this incident speaks volumes about the importance of vaccinations, which have been shown time and time again to save lives. The alternative would put us at risk of being hospitalized or worse.”
Covid-19 vaccination has been successful in preventing hospitalization or death in more than 99.99 percent of those who have received it, according to CNN.
As well as urging Americans to be vaccinated, Harris also urged them to be responsible citizens.
There have been many recordings of individuals in critical condition who failed to be vaccinated appealing with their family members to do so, Harris added.
She went on to say, saying this more clearly: “Do not subject your loved ones to such agonizing situations as holding a loved one in an ICU bed or on the verge of dying. The vaccination is completely free. Your life will be saved if you use this safe method. So the only thing left to do is get everyone vaccinated. “
