J.K. Dobbins, the Ravens’ running back, will tested on Sunday after leaving the game against Washington with a knee injury.
Early in Saturday’s preseason win against the Washington Football Team, a key Baltimore Ravens starter sustained a possibly severe injury.
Returning to the beginning J.K. Dobbins had to be assisted off the field because he couldn’t bear any weight on his left leg. After receiving a screen pass, the running back’s leg twisted backward. He grasped his left knee right away.
Dobbins was immediately transported to the blue medical tent. With a knee injury, he carried to the locker room and declared out.
After the game, the seriousness of the injury was unknown.
“He’ll tested tomorrow, and then we’ll see where we are,” also Ravens coach John Harbaugh said.
On two early runs, the second-year back showed burst and shiftiness, gaining 15 yards, including a 10-yard pop to start the Ravens’ opening drive.
If Dobbins sidelined for a long period of time, it will be a huge blow to the Ravens’ run-heavy attack. Dobbins was on track for a big second season after an 805-yard running rookie season in which he surged down the stretch. Now, all of it may jeopardized.

The injury is a concerning indication for the Ravens, who expected to win their 20th consecutive preseason game with the bulk of their players on the field. Lamar Jackson sacked twice in his first preseason action, including the play after Dobbins went down. After one drive, Jackson sat down after completing 3-of-4 passes for 29 yards.
