The online version of the Apple Store shuts down hours before the company’s presentation, allowing developers time to update the sites for its new releases, as is customary at Apple events. On Monday, soon after 7 a.m. eastern, the store’s dynamic logo image was replaced with the standard “Be right back.”
While Apple does not specify when the shop will reopen, it typically does so soon after the associated launch event ends. Because Apple’s “Unleashed” event begins at 1 p.m. eastern, it’s likely that the shop will reopen for purchases around or after 2 p.m. eastern, depending on how long the presentation lasts.
Apple’s “Unleashed” event is anticipated to feature upgrades to the MacBook Pro lineup, including a new 16-inch MacBook Pro and 14-inch MacBook Pro. They are said to feature new “M1X” processors with eight CPU cores and 16 or 32 GPU cores, as well as a tiny LED display with a notch and the elimination of the Touch Bar.
Apple is reportedly expected to unveil new AirPods during the event, according to rumors. The AirPods 3 are expected to sport a smaller design with shorter stems, similar to the AirPods Pro, but without premium capabilities like as Active Noise Cancellation.
During and after Apple’s presentation later on Monday, AppleInsider will be following the event and its newly announced goods.
