Bank of America customers report the bank app and website are down.
Even though Halloween is still a few weeks away, Bank of America caused many customers a fright on Friday.
On Friday, the banking behemoth was trending on Twitter as customers complained that the Bank of America BAC, +1.48 percent app was down – on the first of the month,
when rent, utilities, and other payments are often due.
“Has anybody else had problems with the Bank of America app?
The irony of this s—messing up on January 1st,” one user wrote,
echoing the sentiments of other Bank customers who were unable to access their accounts through the app.
“You can count on Bank of America to be late with my paycheck,” remarked another.

According to Bank of America’s website,
“Some clients may be unable to use Online Banking at this time.” “Your accounts are safe and secure.
We’re working hard to get our site back up and running for all of our clients as quickly as possible.”

started noticing a surge in Bank complaints.
According to DownDetector, more than 12,000 complaints had been filed as of 11:15 a.m. Friday. Afternoon ET, though, the complaints dwindled to a trickle.
A Bank representative told MarketWatch via email that the company was aware that certain customers were experiencing “slowness” while attempting to access account information,
but that service had been “100% restored” by 2 p.m. ET on Friday. Clients’ personal and account information remained safe and secure, according to the bank.
