Betty White was celebrated on her 100th birthday, and it was described as “very wonderful.”
Stephanie Bernaba vividly recalls her first viewing of Betty White on television.
She was a little child living in Rhode Island with her grandparents, where they spent many hours watching “The Golden Girls,” in which White co-starred as the endearingly daffy Rose Nylund.
Bernaba, 43, who owns a small media company, recalled the practise with a chuckle.

For many years, she and her grandmother made a point of watching “The Golden Girls” repeats whenever they were together and in need of some small-screen consolation.
Bernaba is one of a slew of Betty White admirers around the United States who have pondered the Emmy-winning television star’s life after her Dec. 31 death at the age of 99.
Monday would have been her centennial birthday, and some of her fans marked the occasion by attending career celebrations or engaging in virtual tributes.
“Betty White: A Celebration,” a 100-minute documentary shot before her death, was played in about 900 movie theatres throughout the nation by independent distributor Fathom Events.
(The subtitle was originally “One Hundred Years Young – A Birthday Celebration.”)
“Over the course of our many years working with Betty, we earned an enormous amount of respect and regard for her as a person and as an excellent performer,” producers Steve Boettcher and Mike Trinklein said in a joint statement.
“We are indebted to her for the many decades of joy she provided to all of us,” they concluded.
White’s tremendous production and personal life are chronicled in the film, as is her unflinching support for animals.
Additionally, it includes visits by celebrities from the entertainment business, including Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Morgan Freeman, and Carol Burnett.

In 1995, she was made a member of the Television Hall of Fame. She has a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
