When Megan Thee Stallion performed at Billboard’s 2022 Billboard Awards, her twerking skills were on full display while she wore a stunning one-piece. In a ceremony held on Sunday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, she had just received the Billboard Award for top female rap artist.
A raucous version of her new girl-power song “Plan B” started off the uninhibited performance by Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, who goes by the stage name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete. Her geometric cuts and form-fitting one-piece left nothing to the imagination as she performed the sizzling performance. According to an Instagram post from the singer, the sultry ensemble was all custom Mugler, which included a tiny back thong and slick black lace-up boots.
Even more interesting, many fans believe that “Plan B” is a diss track directed at Megan Thee Stallion’s ex, Tory Lanez, who Megan Thee Stallion claims shot her in the foot in 2020. The Grammy winner, though, tweeted that she was “just venting Abt experiences I’ve had in relationships I’ve had in the past.”
When Megan Thee Stallion remarked, “I don’t want to be trapped with you,” a female fan tweeted, “I think all of us females have felt like that at some point in our lives.”
With flames shooting from the stage, the Texas native’s performance of the song “Sweetest Pie,” which she collaborated on with Dua Lipa, heated things up even more. Megan Thee Stallion showed off her twerking prowess throughout this performance, which elicited a hilarious reaction from the audience, including one from Elle King.
