Debbie Gibson, 51, celebrates her 51st birthday by posing in such a bikini after overcoming its ‘lowest levels.’
Debbie Gibson, who rose to fame as a pop singer in the 1980s, recently celebrated her 51st birthday on Instagram by posing in a bright bikini.
Gibson, who celebrated her 31st birthday on August 31, sent the swimsuit picture to her Instagram fans on Tuesday. She’s standing in front of what seems to be shower tile with lights shining off of it, hands behind her head.
“This seemed like the ideal representation of my path to today beautiful moment on this, the night of my birthday, and a life event that is like a rebirth,” Gibson wrote.
She went on to discuss the difficulties she was faced in recent years and how she has eventually arrived at her current position.
“Even when I was at my lowest moments in the past decade, actually lying face down on the cold bathroom floor in physical and mental agony, I was still gazing up and believing that someday, somehow, I would find myself as you see me in this photo,” Gibson wrote. “
Having a look up into the sky, starrer taking a shower underwater on me, bathed in such a light which would help me project strength, joy, music, but also empowerment to each of you, and also the knowledge that the visions you hold for yourself and the voices in the head are far more powerful than really external threatening to put you down.”
Several celebs and fans wished Gibson a happy birthday in the comments section of his Instagram post.
“Happy birthday, Beautiful,” actresses Holly Robinson Peete replied, while actress Ricki Lake wished her a
happy birthday, writing, “Happy birthday!” and adding a couple fire emojis to her message.
“Once you declare to a universe that you really are ready to receive, it may take a minute, a year, or a
decade, but you will ultimately regain your freedom that’s there within you…right inside you,” Gibson
wrote at the bottom of her post.
“Then go ahead and answer it. Begin right now! You are deserving of the finest life possible… Raise your
hands to the sky and let the stars to illuminate you.”
