Angel Di Maria: ‘Much better’ PSG signed Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo
Angel Di Maria has said
that signing Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo was “far better,” adding that Messi is “from another planet”
when compared to Ronaldo and even PSG colleagues Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Di Maria, who joined PSG
in 2015 following stints at Real Madrid and Manchester United,
where he was a teammate of Ronaldo, has played with Messi for Argentina since the winger’s debut in 2008.
“Messi is a creature from another world.
You could throw a stone at him and he’d control it; he can beat up on a guy like it’s nothing, and he thinks faster than anybody.
It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before “Di Maria told the Argentine sports station TyC.

“I’ve played alongside Cristiano, [Neymar] Mbappe, [Wayne] Rooney, [Robin] Van Persie, [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, [Karim] Benzema, and [Gareth] Bale, and nothing compares to him.
“PSG currently has a one-of-a-kind combination of quality and quantity.
It’s not something that happens very frequently at a club, and the greatest players always want to be among the best.
Cristiano would love to be here, but they brought Messi, who is a far better option.”
After his contract with Barcelona ended earlier this summer, Messi joined PSG on a free transfer this week.
Due to financial difficulties, the LaLiga team was unable to sign Messi to a new contract due to the league’s stringent wage restrictions.
