The golf world is erupting with ‘huge excitement’ over major Tiger Woods news.
Tiger Woods has confirmed that he will compete in the JP McManus Pro-Am in Ireland in July, a crucial event that will act as a warm-up for The Open at St Andrews.
Following his triumphant return to action at the Masters last week, Woods said he will compete in The Open, though he stated he does not expect to ever play a full schedule again.

Woods, Ernie Els, Jon Rahm, and Rory McIlroy will all play in the Adare Manor Pro-Am, which is organised by Irish racehorse tycoon JP McManus.
Woods has previously attended the charity event three times, and McManus expressed his joy at having the iconic 46-year-old on board.

After a vehicle accident in November 2020, Woods braved the odds and returned to golf at the Masters, making the cut and finishing all four rounds.

He not only made the cut for the 22nd time in a row at Augusta, but he also played all 72 holes.
He slipped from contention after a strong start, shooting back-to-back rounds of six-over 78 on Saturday and Sunday, both career lows.
He was simply grateful to be back doing what he loves, and he reaffirmed that he will play in The Open in July.
“I’m never going to play a full calendar again; it’ll simply be the big events,” he remarked.
“I’m excited to see St Andrews. That is something that I am very passionate about.
“It’s the home of golf, and it’s my favourite golf course in the world. I’ve won two Opens there. That’s one I’ll be there for.”
At the Masters, Tiger Woods made an incredible comeback.
As he approached the 18th green, Woods was greeted with a standing ovation and a broad grin on his face as he made his way to Augusta National’s clubhouse.
