Britney Spears’ recent naked photos have sparked debate… some think it’s an indication that dissolving the conservatorship may have been a terrible choice, while others argue that Britney is enjoying her independence.
On Monday, Britney posted 12 nude photographs on Instagram, the latest in a long line of exposing images, and the reaction was swift.
Matt Bernstein, a photojournalist, rushed in to clarify, adding, “People seem to have forgotten that Britney spent the previous 13 years in a jail built by her father. The days when we were all bad at Instagram and only utilized the app’s cheesy filters have long gone, and she hasn’t even noticed. She’s starting to have a sense of herself. Allow her to be who she is.”
On Monday, the “Toxic” singer maintained the pattern by posting a slew of photographs in which she appeared to be bare-naked while using heart emojis and shielding her modesty with her hands. In total, she made three separate uploads with various photos.
Spears’ fans, however, were not pleased with the messages, one of whom said, “Starting to believe that those who were in charge possibly should have stayed in control,” referring to her recently dissolved conservatorship.
By the insinuations—”Anyone else here truly worried?”—others were concerned.
However, some have taken issue with the criticism, pointing out that other celebrities have done the same thing. “Is it true that Kim Kardashian can pull this off, but Britney Spears cannot? When she is doing the same thing as the other girls, why do you think she is crazy?”
It’s true that a number of celebrities, including Bella Hadid, Julia Fox, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, and Lizzo, have taken nude photos.
Britney, on the other hand, has previously stated that her nude photos symbolize her as a free woman and a dissenter.
