After Tom Brady announced his retirement, Gisele Bündchen sent an emotional Instagram message.
“You are the most committed, focused, and psychologically difficult individual I have ever encountered.”
Gisele Bündchen is “happy for the new chapter” now that her husband, Tom Brady, has announced his retirement from the NFL after 22 years.
Brady was “the most driven, determined, and psychologically strong person I have ever encountered,” the supermodel said in an emotional Instagram statement Tuesday morning.

“I didn’t know the first thing about football when I met you almost 15 years ago,” Bündchen wrote. However, rooting for you and watching you perform what you love best taught me so much about this amazing game that I thought I understood more than the refs! For every drive to the game, we always had a unique Champions playlist. We always prayed for you as a family, celebrated and supported you at every game, and cheered you on to victory.

“I’m really proud of you,” Bündchen said, “and of everything you’ve had to endure physically and mentally over the years.” “I am in awe of your effort and everything you have accomplished.” You like what you do, and you leave a great legacy for future generations to follow. You are the most determined, focused, and psychologically difficult individual I have ever encountered. You never once complained about all the bruises and aches and pains you received over the years. You simply remained concentrated on your objective of becoming the greatest leader you could be to all of your colleagues. “
Bündchen has already expressed her dissatisfaction with Brady’s extended career. She sparked a sensation when she claimed in a 2017 appearance on “CBS This Morning” that Brady had had undisclosed concussions while playing.
“Last year, he had a concussion. He experiences concussions on a regular basis. Before cutting herself off, Bündchen remarked. “I mean, we don’t discuss it.” He does, however, have concussions. “I don’t believe it’s a good thing for anybody to go through.”

Brady’s old Michigan teammates Jay Feely and Hall of Fame defensive end Michael Strahan were allegedly approached by Gisele to assist in persuading Brady to retire in 2018.
On January 24, Brady said on Jim Gray’s “Let’s Go” podcast that Bündchen and his family were in his thoughts while he considered his career possibilities.
According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Brady stated, “It hurts her to watch me get struck out there.” And she deserves everything she requires of me as a husband and what my children need of me as a father.
In his retirement statement on social media, Brady singled out Bündchen, highlighting that she had done “everything for our family.”
“To my wife, Gisele, and my three children, Jack, Benny, and Vivi,” Brady said. “You are a source of inspiration for me.” My greatest accomplishment is our family. I always returned home after a game to the most loving and supportive wife, who has gone above and beyond for our family in order for me to concentrate on my job. Her selflessness enabled me to achieve new professional heights, and I cannot express how much you mean to me and our family. “
