Gospel singer Kelly Price was safe after she was reported missing, her lawyer says.
Kelly Price, a well-known gospel singer, was found safe Friday night after being reported missing in the Atlanta region, according to her lawyer.
Price was never really gone, according to Monica Ewing, but she did travel to “a peaceful location” to recuperate after being released from a hospital where she was treated for Covid-19.
“She’s OK,” Ewing assured. “She was discharged from the hospital with Covid and went to a quiet location to recuperate,” says the source.
Price was over Covid-19, according to the lawyer, but still needed to regain full strength in order to perform.
“She needs to recover and get back on her feet,” she said.
Cobb County Police Sgt. Wayne Delk acknowledged that Price was the subject of a missing person’s complaint, but said no other information, including who reported her missing, will be published.
On July 29, the 48-year-old musician shared a video on Instagram about acquiring Covid-19: “Last night, I wasn’t feeling good… It has been confirmed that I have Covid. also, I’m in a lot of pain. I’m not hungry at all. I am very frail. I’m struggling to remain awake.”

“I’m hoping that this goes soon,” she added.
The singer’s disappearance was originally reported by TMZ.
Price has a string of gospel successes under his belt. Her song “Friend of Mine” hit number one on Billboard’s adult R&B radio chart in 1998.
Price inked a contract with Motown Gospel earlier this year, which featured the publication of her extended-play album “Grace” in the spring.
A request for comment from the label was not returned.
