grayson allen stats is a guy whom fans despise, and now his Bucks colleagues are attempting to make light of the boos.
grayson allen stats will have to put up with the booing in Chicago for the rest of his life. He got them after a Flagrant 2, left block, right swipe foul against Bulls’ Alex Caruso in January, which earned him a one-game ban as well as the wrath of Caruso and Bulls coach Billy Donovan.
What’s more intriguing is how Allen will manage the good-natured boos… from his own team. Is it possible that he’ll be out for the remainder of the playoffs?
After being blown away by Allen’s domination in Games 3 and 4 of the first round of the NBA playoffs in Chicago over the weekend, numerous Bucks players have begun teasingly booing Grayson.
The booing began a few days ago in Game 3, and they continue to follow Allen everywhere he goes, particularly if teammate (and Wisconsinite) Wesley Matthews is around to fuel the taunting.
“Walk on the bus and say, ‘Boo,'” Allen added.
“‘Boo’ in the hotel,” Allen said.

“I’m about to see the movie ‘Boo.'”
Allen’s follow-up to his career-high 22 points off the bench in Game 3’s victory. Friday night, he scored a career-high 27 points in Game 4 of the series, which he won 119-95 on Sunday afternoon. There are more boos. From my perch on the bench. A genuine “(Bleep) you, Grayson Allen” from a fan behind the Bucks hoop at the conclusion of the game certainly drowned it out.
Coach Mike Budenholzer of the Milwaukee Bucks remarked, “I didn’t know…” “Do they do that?” Whatever the case may be… it’s functioning, so…”
Allen hit 78.6% from three-point range (5-7, 6-7) in 53 minutes across the two games, so talking about being able to pass to him and depend on a bucket might be a lot of fun…
“I believe it’s more fun booing Grayson,” said Jrue Holiday, a teammate. “I believe it began with the fans.”
“When we start booing him, he starts hoopin’, so… Maybe that means something to him.” Some type of assistance is required. I’m still going to be booing him to death.”
Allen’s reputation as the obnoxious player that everyone despises — unless he’s playing for your side — has only become stronger as a result of this.
“I saw a photo of him having the ‘And-One’ in Game 3 — and the whole bench was booing him,” Bucks teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo revealed. “I thought that was hilarious. He needs to frame the photo, for example.

“That sums up his whole career,” Giannis added.
Allen has received a lukewarm welcome in Wisconsin, from the time he was introduced as a new Milwaukee Buck in September, where he was reminded of his days at Duke and breaking the hearts of the Wisconsin Badgers in the 2015 NCAA tournament, to the revival of his old reputation for tripping and scrums in college, where he was also suspended a game, Allen has arrived in Wisconsin with, shall we say, a lukewarm welcome by some. Like the obnoxious group member that everyone sticks around because they’ll be the designated driver?
Of the Bucks booing, Bucks center Brook Lopez said, “I believe that’s his comfort zone, I think that’s what he’s accustomed to, right?” “I believe he prefers it over the cheers.”
Actually, Allen, strangely enough, does not fully accept all of this.

He’s figuring out how to deal with it, but that’s an other story.

“I still wouldn’t say it’s naturally comfortable for me,” Allen said. “However, I’ve gotten to the point where, whenever I go out and play basketball, I simply tell myself to have fun.” So I’m having a good time with it — I guess you could say I’m having fun with it because I’m playing basketball. That’s exactly what I like doing. For me, the greatest joy in life is simply playing, having fun, and being free.
“However, the attention makes my personality uneasy. The jeers. The jeering.
“It’s not like it’s something I get a kick out of.” “Oh, I adore this…” I’m not going out looking for it.
But, without Allen, where would the Bucks be right now? They’re 3-1 against the Bulls, with two blowout victories on the road that Milwaukee made seem simple, and Allen has stepped up to fill the void left by the injured Khris Middleton — literally and metaphorically.
Allen’s ability to play in ways other than hitting threes, according to Budenholzer, has given Milwaukee’s offensive systems more texture and complexity. Budenholzer pointed out Allen for his ability at playing basketball off the dribble, much as he did seven years ago against the Badgers when Allen drove to the hoop.
“He has terrific feet and good hands,” Budenholzer remarked. “He’s athletic, but he’s also cunning. His footwork is excellent. When you’re around him, you notice his finishing, his ability to spin it on the glass. He has a lot of material to work with.
“The time he spends on player development, as well as the time his assistants spend with him, is paying off right now.”
Allen also had three thefts, which was a source of satisfaction considering the Bucks’ defensive shortcomings.
After numerous additional accolades, Antetokounmpo added of Allen, “He plays with a chip on his shoulder.”
During the postgame, a Chicago journalist reminded Allen that he was booed here for the Caruso play, and Allen added that he heard on a podcast that he never reached out to Caruso.
“Which I did attempt,” Allen remarked. “I experimented with two distinct approaches. Then, after I watched that (the podcast), I received a new phone number from someone and attempted to contact them again, but I wasn’t anticipating a response at that moment. It’s only that I’d want to inform him.
“It’s more about a personal matter between me and him.” So I don’t anticipate a response, and I doubt he’d even want to.”
Caruso returned to the court on March 12 after missing 22 games due to wrist surgery after the play with Allen.
Allen, for the most part, hushed a lot of folks at the United Center by playing some of his finest postseason basketball of his career and assisting the Bucks in their dominance.
But would he ever want to put his own friends to sleep?
“No, they have a lot of fun doing it,” Allen said. “I think it’s hilarious, I think it’s humorous.” They’ve made it into a fun thing, and since they think it’s so humorous, it makes hearing it throughout the game a lot easier.”
