Halsey said she and her partner Alev Aydin were treated “like a teen mom” as a result of their choice to
have a child with Alev Aydin, a decision that caused her to experience “feelings of humiliation.”
During “an interview with” Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1,
Halsey said that she and her husband had tried extremely hard to conceive
and that they had decided that now was a perfect time since they were
financially independent and well-established in their careers.
“Oh,” my God, you’re so” young, and you have so much to accomplish in your career, and you’re not
married, and you’re this,” the “Closer” singer, whose actual name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, said of
the response to her pregnancy from people around her.
They concluded, “F–k ’em.” “I was simply like, I’m going to do anything I want.” Do you get what I’m
saying? “This is essential to me,” I said.

Halsey,” who gave birth to” her son Ender in July,
said that it was tough for her to promote her new album while expecting a child.
‘Yeah, but is she going to be pregnant?’ they asked while we were out attempting to set up magazine
covers to coincide with the album’s release. We don’t want to be obligated to provide maternity
coverage.’
“And I was like, ‘This isn’t a maternity cover,'” she says. It’s all about my new record. It just so happens
that I’m expecting a child. And they say, ‘No, it’s a pregnant cover,’ which is correct. And I said to myself,
“So “I’m not allowed to” speak about my album?”
In response to very favorable reviews, Halsey released “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power,” a duet with
Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor and his regular soundtrack collaborator Atticus Ross, on Friday.
