“Haters” Attack Katharine McPhee After Husband David Foster Remarks on Her Post-Baby Body in Bikini
“Stop being so outraged by what others write who have zero influence on your life and move on,” the American Idol alum said on Instagram, defending her husband from the vitriol. Katharine McPhee is blocking her detractors on the internet.
David Foster, the Country Comfort star’s spouse, posted a snapshot of the mother of one on Instagram on Tuesday. The actress, 37, is shown in a black bikini lounging on the grass.
“Wow, what a baby!” Foster, 72, captioned the photo, ostensibly referring to his wife’s post-baby physique after their son, Rennie David, was born earlier this year.

After several social media users chastised his statement on the picture, McPhee defended her husband in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
“Please accept my apologies, but we are not sorry. And for those of you who are having trouble dealing with it, maybe this can help. I’ve battled with my weight for the most of my 20s and 30s. I’ve climbed and down ten times. Is it enough to help you feel better? There’s nothing wrong with it; in fact, the majority of people do it “She commented next to a picture of herself in a beach suit.
She went on to say, “I didn’t have to diet to lose the baby weight. Zero. Diets are the worst, and no one has ever put any pressure on me to stick to one. I let my body do its thing and discovered a fantastic exercise. That is all there is to it. What’s more, guess what? At some time, I’m sure I’ll gain weight again. What does it matter? BUT, honestly, people freaking out about what my husband captioned, get a life… Stop getting offended by things that have no bearing on your life and move on.”

McPhee and Foster married in June 2019 and welcomed Rennie in February.
In March, the actress claimed that her “greatest issue” while pregnant with Rennie was the concern that her own difficulties with compulsive eating and bulimia might resurface as her body changed. McPhee described her pregnancy as having a “good love-hate relationship,” according to E! News.
She told the newspaper, “I believe I battled a little bit with the becoming larger aspect.”

McPhee’s perspective shifted dramatically with the birth of Rennie.
“What I didn’t anticipate was to have the baby and then feel so at ease in my own skin,” she said. “I felt this great respect for what my body had just done and given me,” she says. “I wish I’d given myself a little more of that grace throughout the pregnancy.”
McPhee claimed she hasn’t felt the need to push herself to lose weight in the months afterwards.
“I had this great gift where I didn’t feel any need to come back to a specific quality,” she said. “I was just thinking, ‘Wow, this is really a wonderful time to welcome a new baby and give appreciation to this great body that just done something absolutely miraculous,'” she said.
She went on to say, “I’m so much happier, so much more tranquil.” “And, in fact, the additional weight I acquired throughout my pregnancy has simply naturally dropped off. I never had to torment myself in order to accomplish any of those goals.”
Foster, on the other hand, is no stranger to complimenting his wife on social media.
After she published a series of images from a recent family vacation to Canada, including two snapshots of herself holding baby Rennie, the Grammy-winning artist branded her a “sexy parent” in the comments of an Instagram post in September.
McPhee is seen holding Rennie as she waves at the camera from a path in a beautiful garden in one of the photographs. In another shot, the Smash hitmaker kissed Rennie on the cheek in front of a body of water. Foster remarked on the post, “HOT MOM!!!!!”
Regardless of what others think, the former American Idol contestant declared in April that becoming a mother is the “best job” she would ever have.
During her interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, she told Kelly Clarkson, “He’s such a wonderful little baby and I’m so in love.”
