The new season of Wild Adventures begins Shamrock.
This Saturday, Wild Adventures Theme Park kicks off its 2022 season with a dash of Irish luck and new attractions, including a big animal habitat and a new venue showcasing weekly live music and locally made beer.
Shamrock the Park, a new event celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, kicks off Wild Adventures’ 2022 season on March 19, park representatives said in a statement. The event will feature traditional bagpipers and drummers, Irish cuisine, and a children’s parade.

“Shamrock the Park will be an excellent way to begin our new season at Wild Adventures,” vice president and general manager Jon Vigue said. “It embodies everything that makes a visit to our park special: delicious food, family fun, and the ability to build lifelong memories.”
Throughout the event, people can enter to win a 2022 gold season pass by discovering a Pot of Gold concealed throughout the park.
Shamrock the Park will open on March 19 and will run through March 20, 26, and 27.
The new season at Wild Adventures also introduces a new food and beverage experience with the launch of Water’s Edge Brews & Bites, a unique venue around the park’s central lake with gourmet pretzels, select wines, and locally brewed beer courtesy of a relationship with Georgia Beer Company.
“As Georgia’s southernmost brewery, we are ecstatic about this relationship and what it represents for the future of tourism and the quality of life in our region,” Georgia Beer Company’s Chris Jones said.
Additionally, Water’s Edge includes a new stage with monthly live music, shaded seating, and activities like as cornhole and giant-size Jenga.
“Water’s Edge is a place to unwind,” Vigue explained. “After experiencing the thrills of a rollercoaster ride or a spectacular wildlife encounter, Water’s Edge provides a gathering spot for people to unwind.”
Wanyama Observation Deck and Botanical Garden, one of the largest animal exhibitions ever introduced to the park, are also new this season.
“‘Wanyama’ is a Swahili phrase that translates as ‘beautiful creatures,’ and that is precisely what you will find in this extraordinary new addition to the park,” Vigue explained. “You’ll encounter incredible animals from Africa and Asia, including giraffes, water buffalo, and blackbucks.”
Wanyama features a huge covered overlook where visitors can unwind in the shade or dine while watching animals graze in a large open field. Guests can follow one path to an aviary or another to an eye-level view of the show.
According to park organisers, the new area includes a huge open-top grill, a new special event and catering space, and a botanical garden created in collaboration with Valdosta State University.
“The biology and landscaping departments at VSU stepped in and gave great expertise and labour to assist us in creating a calm and appealing place that showcases native and exotic plant species,” Vigue said.
The opening of the Wanyama Observation Deck and Botanical Garden is scheduled for March 19.
The Wild Adventures 2022 season opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, however current season passholders can have early entrance to the park on Friday, March 18, from 4-7 p.m.
