Inside the middle of his cancer battle, NeNe Leakes says her husband Gregg is ‘transitioning to the other side.’
NeNe Leakes has shared a heartbreaking health update about her husband, Gregg. The reality personality recently announced that her husband’s cancer fight may be coming to an end.
“My spouse is transferring to the other side,” Leakes said in a video uploaded to multiple social media sites, addressing customers at The Linnethia, her nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia.
Customers reportedly deemed Leakes “rude” when she didn’t wish their birthday party a happy birthday while they were partying at her business, prompting the remakes.
“You have no idea what we’re up against right now,” Leakes remarked over the loudspeakers, ostensibly addressing the group that had called her out.
“We had to go inside this lounge because this is our business,” says the narrator.
“So, when people say things like, ‘You’re rude because you don’t want to say happy birthday,’ my spouse is dying at home,” she said. “I’m not going to wish you a happy birthday, OK? So, please, be respectful to us.
Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please”
Leakes seemed to address her husband’s health in an Instagram picture she posted on Sunday.
The picture in the post contained the phrase “Broken,” as well as a prayer hands emoji and a broken heart emoji. There was no caption on the picture.
About a month after she announced that she 66-year-old husband’s cancer had returned, Leakes took to Social media to update her fans on his health.
A fan observed that NeNe did not appear as a guest co-host on The Talk, despite the fact that she was
supposed to do so.
“I was supposed [sic] to host the discussion today,” she writes, “then I received wonderful news that
Gregg was returning home after being hospitalised for 6 weeks.”
In an Instagram Live only With Jasmine Brand in June, NeNe first discussed her husband’s health issues.
NeNe said at the time that her husband had surgery and was in the hospital for a week.
While NeNe predicted that her husband would come home the next week in June, he didn’t do so for
Gregg was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer last year. Gregg had the same operation he had lately
after his first diagnosis, and he went into remission for a while.
