Josh Duggar was charged with receiving and possessing child pornography and was found guilty.

Josh Duggar, who starred in TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting,” was found guilty after being charged with downloading and possessing child pornography on two counts.
The 33-year-old Duggar was found guilty of receiving and possessing child pornography by a jury in Fayetteville, Arkansas. When he is sentenced at a later date, he may face up to 20 years in jail and penalties of up to $250,000 for each offence.

The trial, which had been planned for July, has been rescheduled until November. For many days, a jury was convened in the case after hearing evidence from computer experts, friends of the Duggar family, and other witnesses.
Child pornography was downloaded to the computer at the used-car yard where Duggar worked in May 2019, according to prosecutors. Duggar’s lawyers said that they want to defend him “vigorously and completely.”
A Little Rock police officer discovered child porn files being exchanged on a computer tied to Duggar, prompting federal officials to launch an investigation. Images showing the sexual assault of minors, including toddlers, were downloaded in 2019 onto a computer at a car dealership owned by Duggar, according to a federal agent testifying in May.
Duggar acknowledged to assaulting four young girls in 2003, according to evidence from both sides’ computer experts and a family acquaintance.
The first witness for the prosecution was a computer expert who said that Duggar’s business computer, which had the child pornography, had an operating system that enabled it to elude a monitoring software.
According to specialists, the partition divided the computer’s hard drive into two parts: a public-facing side that was business-related and incorporated the tracking application, and a hidden second side that utilised a Linux system and the browser.
The Linus system enabled anybody using the computer to avoid an accountability software set up to report problematic internet behaviour to Duggar’s wife, such as surfing for pornography.

A computer expert was taken to the stand as the defense’s first witness, and he stated that Duggar’s computer could have been accessed remotely.
Duggar’s trial started when his father, Jim Bob Duggar, declared that he would compete for a vacant state Senate seat in northwest Arkansas in a special election. It also came just a few weeks after Anna Duggar gave birth to the couple’s seventh child.
