Julie Bowen is a heroine of the twenty-first century.
The Modern Family actress and her sister visited Utah’s Arches National Park earlier this month, when they stumbled upon Minnie John, who had collapsed while hiking.
In a Facebook post, the New Jersey native recounted the amazing tale, revealing that she was hiking with her husband and kid when she became dizzy. After allowing them to go on without her, John passed out and collided with a nearby rock.
Fortunately for the hiker, the 51-year-old actress and her sister, who works in medicine, were nearby and provided assistance.
John said in her article, “All I remember is resting there with my head in my hands, safe on the rock.” “The next thing I hear is someone asking me questions in a familiar voice.
I wondered whether I was watching television.
My eyes were closed, and they assured me that I would be OK while washing and bandaging my face. “I’m going to be OK, a doctor is cleaning me up,” I heard that familiar voice say.
“After so many more questions and putting sticky things in my mouth and giving me electrolytes, they pulled me up as I opened my eyes and placed me back on that rock, and that face seemed so familiar again, so I asked her if I knew her or if she was famous, and the doctor replied yes,” she said. She grinned and pulled her hair tie free and shook her hair for me to figure out as my eyes began to concentrate further.
Her sister, the doctor, asked me to guess, and I told her I had a concussion and couldn’t recall anything. Modern Family, she replied, beaming, and I responded, “Of course!” I told her she looked stunning.”
Another group of hikers even stepped in to hunt down John’s husband and son, who eventually drove her to the hospital, where she was treated for a broken nose and given a handful of stitches.
“I adore you, Julie and Annie, and for a little while, my shenanigans have made me famous!” John came to a conclusion.
This is a tale that merits a round of applause.
