Kate Beckinsale 2021 had a “horrific” back injury while filming a movie last month, but she’s now laughing about it.
During an interview on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” Monday, the “Underworld” actress described her journey to the hospital, including how the event occurred.
“I wounded myself putting on a pair of leggings in a hotel room after doing eight or 900 action movies,” the “Jolt” star confessed. She wasn’t filming a thriller or “racing up walls or anything,” but a “intense emotional drama,” instead.
“I was putting on a pair of leggings in my hotel room when it felt like a guitar string snapped and everything was awful, like having a baby bad,” she added.
She couldn’t walk, lie down, or sit down, so medics had to wrap her in a sheet “like a sausage” and place her on a gurney when the ambulance came.

Beckinsale is OK now, but she made a joke about the hospital medicine she was given, claiming it indicated what “kind of drunk” she would be if she didn’t drink.
“So I’m not the ‘do you know who I am, have you watched all my films?’ kind, which is a tremendous relief, and I’m pleased. However, I am a person who believes that “everyone is trying to steal my (expletive) ovaries.” “she said.
