Katie Thurston’s Ex Blake Moynes Reacts Moving on, John Hersey discusses “Emotional Cheating.”
On her “12 Days of Messy” Instagram series, Moynes stated he discovered out Thurston was dating John Hersey with the rest of Bachelor Nation.
Katie Thurston’s new romance caught Blake Moynes off guard.
The Bachelorette winner, who separated with Thurston a month ago, has broken his silence on her “12 Days of Messy” Instagram series, in which she announced on Tuesday that she’d been seeing John Hersey, another candidate from her season.
“You begin to consider timetables. I know they spent a lot of time together and everything that, but there’s no way, I had no idea “On Wednesday’s edition of the Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation podcast, Moynes, 30, stated. “I’m a really comfortable, confident man, and I offer 100 percent of my trust to the people I should be trusting the most.”
“I don’t believe there was any physical cheating there,” he said, “but there was certainly emotional for it to change as rapidly as it did.”
“To some extent, I feel dumb and foolish for allowing that to happen,” Moynes said. “And I’m not sure whether it was partly me, like, was she emotionally cheating because I couldn’t supply anything with words of encouragement, which I know I struggle with at times?”

about Katie Thurston: Meet Michelle Young, Michelle bachelorette in Minnesota’s
Thurston, 30, revealed her relationship with Hersey, 27, on the last day of her “12 Days of Messy” Instagram series. She picked a song from Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version) album each day that reminded her of a guy she met over the season. “We Are Never Getting Back Together” by Moynes was Day 1, while “Begin Again” by Hersey was Day 12.
After Thurston’s tweet on Tuesday, her agent told PEOPLE, “It’s known Katie and John became good friends post-season.” “John has been there for her through all of her significant life upheavals, and they are both thrilled to explore their newly discovered love relationship.”
On Tuesday, Hersey shared a TikTok video showing the pair kissing and hugging each other. After giving insights into their connection after the programme, particularly when Thurston was engaged to Moynes, the revelation came as a shock.
On Talking It Out, Moynes said that he’s having trouble figuring out the timeframe of Thurston’s relationship with Hersey. “I guess that’s what I’m having trouble digesting because this 12 Days of Messy — which I didn’t sign up for but was hooked to like the other men — began 12 days ago.”
He said, “I’m sure she knew who day 12 was – who it was going to be and why.” “So, when I think of the split occurring a month ago, she definitely had an idea two weeks later who was going to be day 12 and how she was going to announce it.”
Is there anything he regrets about his time with Thurston? “I try to live by having no regrets,” he acknowledged, “but it’s times like these that you start to battle yourself with having no regrets.”
Thurston and Moynes released a joint statement on social media on Oct. 25 announcing their breakup. (The post has now been removed from Thurston’s Instagram page.)
“We have agreed to go our own ways out of mutual love and respect. We are thankful for the times we enjoyed together and for the whole trip that has unfolded this year, but we have come to the conclusion that we are not compatible as life partners, and that moving on individually is the best loving choice for both of us “they said “As we both make our way through this change, we beg for your compassion and privacy. We will always want the best for one another, and we ask that you back us in our choice.”
