“Superstar: Kobe Bryant,” a documentary on the former Los Angeles Lakers star, debuts Wednesday, August 18. The 60-minute program will belive streamed on fuboTV.
Less than two years after his tragic death and ahead of Bryant’s birthday on Aug. 23 and Kobe Bryant Day on Aug. 24, “Superstar: Kobe Bryant” is a portrait of one of the most popular figures of recent times.
The immersive program follows the evolution of Bryant, from his roots as a gifted young basketball star struggling to find his place to NBA champion, Oscar®-winner, and proud #girldad.
The one-hour primetime event explores his life on the court, his triumphs, indiscretions, complications in his personal life, including an accusation of rape at the height of his career.
It also takes a look at his tragic death.
The documentary will also highlight the “Black Mamba” and his dedication to his family, his passion for coaching his daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant’s basketball team, and more.
“Superstar: Kobe Bryant” features interviews with Jalen Rose, sports analyst, and former NBA player; Caron Butler, a former teammate of Bryant’s; and Tracy McGrady, NBA All-Star, as well as old interviews with Bryant.

The 60-minute documentary will air at 9 p.m. (10 p.m. ET) Wednesday, August 18.
