Tory Lanez is a professional rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer from Canada.

Is Tory Lanez going to jail?
After being charged with assault with a semiautomatic weapon and carrying a loaded, unlicensed firearm in a vehicle, Lanez is set to appear in court on September 23,
and many fans are wondering whether he will go to prison.
He’s also in legal problems after breaking Megan’s restraining order after playing with DaBaby at the Rolling Loud music event.
Lanez became a Twitter trending topic on September 21 when he seemed to delete all of his social media accounts and wrote, “It’s been genuine.”

Was Tory Lanez involved in a hit and run?
Lanez is facing additional legal issues when a lawsuit was filed against him on September 22, 2021, on top of the threat of prison time.
Barry Fine, the plaintiff, claims that he was scarred as a result of a hit-and-run event using a vehicle purportedly owned by the rapper.
Fine says he was involved in a “chain reaction rear-end accident”
when an unknown driver in Lanez’s 2016 Range Rover “[hit] one car pushing that vehicle into [his] vehicle,”
according to court papers acquired by Radar.
Fine alleges that the accident left him with severe injuries and property damage,
including disfigurement, bodily and emotional agony and suffering, medical costs,
lost earning ability, a permanent injury, extensive scars, and out-of-pocket expenses.
He’s seeking more than $30,000 in damages, as well as the difference between his car’s pre-accident worth and its post-repair value, from the rapper and his insurance carrier.
Lanez has not yet responded to the complaint.
What have people said about Tory Lanez’s potential jail sentence?
Many followers went to Twitter when Lanez seemed to delete his social media accounts to voice their views about the issue,
and many were quick to defend Megan.
“I don’t feel sorry for Tory lane,” one fan wrote,
“he was too smug about shooting a black woman for no reason if you ask me,” while another joked,
“It’s funny to me how @torylanez might be going to jail for VOP for performing at Rolling Loud because Meg was there and not the gun situation with Meg.”
“hope Tory Lanez is in prison for the rest of his life. I pray he never sees the sun again,”
another user wrote, adding, “and this is coming from someone who believes the prison system should be eliminated.”
