NBA Twitter responds to the possibility of LiAngelo Ball joining the Hornets.
NBA After a rumour said that LiAngelo Ball impressed the Charlotte Hornets during the Summer League, Twitter is pulling for him to make the roster.
After all, LiAngelo Ball may have what it takes to make it in the NBA.
ESPN’s Jordan Schultz reported on the Hornets’ high regard for the middle Ball sibling on Sunday, prompting speculation about
whether he’s a genuine contender for a roster spot.
“Lots of hysteria surrounding [LiAngelo Ball], that has played very well in Dunk Contest and is challenging for a place in the NBA or
the G-League,” Schultz tweeted. “I’ve talked with many members of the #Hornets’ organisation. Gelo is adored by everyone! He’s
proved to a lot of sceptics that he’s a real person and a hard worker…
“Spoke with #Hornets assistant coach Jay Triano, who described [Ball] as a ‘great kid.’ I adore him. He spent two months at the
facility, training every day in preparation for the Summer League. Has a lot of personalities. He’s got a terrific feel for the game and a
penchant for scoring.’
While his siblings Lonzo and LaMelo were always considered NBA prospects, LiAngelo was overlooked. Fans and scouts thought he’d
have a hard time making it.

When he went undrafted in 2018, that notion was confirmed. The tides seem to be changing now.
Also, It makes you wonder where Ball might be right now if it hadn’t been for a sequence of misfortunes. He joined on to play in his
father’s Junior Basketball Association after being undrafted.
A year later, when he may have had another shot at the NBA, he had ankle surgery and missed most of the year.
In 2020, he could have earned a chance in the G-League. The season was cancelled, however, because of the COVID-19 epidemic. It
also, put a stop to the possibility of a Summer League.
Ball has made an impact this summer. We’ll see whether he develops it into something more substantial.
