Lil Nas X, who is known for songs like “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” and “Old Town Road,” has shared pictures of himself with an apparent bun in the oven, according to People.
His latest album, “Montero” (his birth name is Montero Lamar Hill), will be released on September 17th. According to the People report, the rapper traced the origins of the phony pregnancy photos back to a conversation with his stylist: “‘Yeah, this is my child, isn’t it?’ “‘Yeah, you should do a pregnant shot,’ she said as a joke.”
There’s also lingering resonance from his recent parody of Drake’s upcoming album cover art, “Certified Lover Boy,” which includes emojis of 12 different pregnant women (due out Friday) (art designed by Damien Hurst). To promote “Montero,” Lil Nas X released his own version of the picture, but with emojis of 12 pregnant males.
He tweeted a “sonogram” of the album cover art inside a womb in response to the People pictures.
