On Saturday, Miami football will meet significant Alabama transfers
When the Miami Dolphins meet Alabama on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, they will not be the only team depending on transfers.
When the Hurricanes and Crimson Tide meet in Atlanta, six of the top 120 transfers will be on the field.
So The 247 Sports Top 150 includes four Hurricanes and two Crimson Tide transfers.
Alabama linebacker Henry Too Too, a Tennessee transfer, was the top-ranked transfer in the offseason of 2021.
Too was describe as a “proven head-hunter at linebacker who should become an even bigger star and a possible first-round pick” by 247 in their profile of the top 50 2021 transfers.
Miami cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is the second-highest ranked transfer behind Too Too and the 10th-highest rank transfer nationally among the players taking the field at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
The former Georgia Bulldog will be a vital part of Miami’s CB rotation, as he is one of three starters.
“Versatile defensive back heading home to Miami,” 247 wrote in their profile of Stevenson.
Should be a valuable addition to the Hurricanes’ defensive backfield.” Stevenson is a list
as a co-starter with Te’Cory Couch and D.J. Ivey for two CB positions.
Miami is likely to use three but cornerbacks most of the time.
Former Ohio State wide receiver Jameson Williams is the 23rd-ranked transfer in 2021.
So Williams had 15 receptions for 266 yards and three touchdowns in two seasons with the Buckeyes.
Alabama was untested at wide receiver with Heisman Trophy winner Da’Vonte Smith and NFL first-round pick Jaylen Waddle.
According to 247 Sports, “from one college football superpower to another, Williams averaged 17 yards
per reception in 2020 and should put up big numbers in an Alabama receiving room with less proven options than Ohio State’s.”

Miami football faces key Alabama transfers Saturday
Alabama has a deadly WR tandem in Williams and John Metchie.
So Charleston Rambo, the 25th-ranked
transfer and fifth-best wide receiver in the country are projected
to be just as crucial to the Miami football team as Williams is to Alabama.
Rambo struggled at Oklahoma in 2020, but he’ll thrive in Rhett Lashlee’s playbook and give the deep
threat Miami urgently needs.
“A good 2019 season was followed by an injury- and covid-plagued 2020 season, during which he was
passed on the depth chart by Marvin Mims, a freshman phenom.
It’ll be a favorite of D’Eriq King’s.”
Rambo is expected to be a significant receiver for King, according to 247’s assessment.
The Miami Dolphins should have three clutch receivers on offense in 2021, thanks to WR Mike Harley and
tight end Will Mallory.
So Rambo should be able to put 2020 behind him and prove why he was such a game-changing receiver in 2019.
The other two players ranked in the top 120 transfers for 2021 are both from Miami.
Defensive end Deandre Johnson, a second-team edge rusher ranked as the 104th best transfer for 2021,
provides much-needed depth for Miami.
Justice Oluawaseun, an offensive lineman, was the last transfer to join Miami in 2021, and he now ranks 119th.
