Outrage over Jennie Nguyen’s posts led to her being fired from “RHOSLC.”
Following a response to inflammatory tweets, Jennie Nguyen was sacked from “RHOSLC.”
Following reaction to a number of provocative social media remarks that recently emerged, Jennie Nguyen was sacked from “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.”
“Bravo has stopped shooting with Jennie Nguyen, and she will no longer be a cast member on “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,“ Bravo said on Tuesday.
“We acknowledge that once her inappropriate social media postings were brought to our notice, we failed to take proper action.” We’ll endeavor to enhance our procedures in the future so that we can make more informed and careful casting choices. “

Nguyen has yet to make a public statement on his dismissal.
A representative for the reality star did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Page Six.
After followers uncovered many remarks on Nguyen’s Facebook page that seemed to criticize the Black Lives Matter movement and marches, outrage ensued.
Nguyen, 44, shared images and photographs with captions like “BLM Thugs” and “Violent Gangs” on social media.
Fans petitioned Bravo to dismiss Nguyen from the “Housewives” series prior to her departure. A Change.org petition titled “Fire Jennie Nguyen for being a Racist” was started by one of her supporters.

Thousands of enraged fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure.
“Jennie isn’t going to be fired by Bravo.” I’m at a loss for words. There’s plenty of proof, yet they’d rather keep her film and utilize it as a plot device. To me, that’s insane. One user wrote: “# RHOSLC,” another wrote.
“Are you still going to watch Bravo if Jennie Nguyen isn’t fired?” I’m not one of them. It’s an obvious display of disdain. Why would they maintain her when she was revealed as a racist? Her storyline isn’t really that fascinating. “# RHOSLC,” said another.
Andy Cohen, the show’s executive producer, also spoke out against the matter, calling the postings “upsetting” and “disgusting.” Bravo was having several “serious” talks about future moves, he claimed at the time.
“I just want to emphasize, in case someone doesn’t understand it,” Cohen said on his “Radio Andy” program, “that there are many serious talks going on right now about everything—about everything.” I’m sorry, but I’m unable to solve the matter at this time. Many of Nguyen’s former co-stars decried her actions, and they all unfollowed her on Instagram, along with Cohen and other series stars.
Jen Shah, who has a black husband and boys, was the first to criticize Nguyen, calling her apologies “disingenuous.”
She commented on Instagram, “We have some serious s–t to speak about.”
Lisa Barlow, a long-time friend of Nguyen’s, claimed that although she was “surprised” to learn of Nguyen’s tweets, she “certainly” does not “condone” her old friend’s remarks and that she is “totally anti-racist.”
Meredith Marks described herself as “sickened.” Whitney Rose described herself as “shocked and heartbroken,” and Heather Gay described herself as “disappointed.”
“I believed I was speaking out against violence,” Nguyen said in a statement posted on her Instagram the same day the pictures became public.
Since then, I’ve realized how rude and cruel [her] statements were,” she continued.
Filming for “RHOSLC” Season 3 started before the allegations, according to many people close to the production, and Nguyen was part of the original cast.
“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs on Bravo every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
