What is the release date for Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2?
Stranger Things 4: Volume 2 will be released on July 1, 2022, only six weeks after the midseason finale.
It’s also structured differently from the first half, lasting just two episodes.
But they’re going to be big… literally. It has been reported that the penultimate episode will be 85 minutes long, while the finale will be a whopping two-and-a-half hours long.
So cuddle up, build a pile of eggos, and prepare to see an episode that would make a Marvel movie blush.
Whatever occurs will lay the stage for the forthcoming announced season five, which will also be the series’ last season as the Hawkins adventures come to an end.
Cast of Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2: Who will be there?
As things stand, all of the key actors are expected to continue their attempts to halt Vecna and permanently seal the Upside Down.
Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Noah Schnapp (Will), and Sadie Sink are among the cast members (Max).
Thankfully, their characters will have some help in the form of Robin (Maya Hawke), Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton). Argyle (Eduardo Franco) and Eddie are newcomers (Joseph Quinn).

As for the grownups, Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce (Winona Ryder) are reconciled thanks to Murray’s assistance (Brett Gelman). All they have to do now is return to the United States safely.
But, like with all good men, there are evil ones, and they don’t get much worse than Jamie Campbell Bower, as 001, or Vecna. The ostensibly strong ward-guard is really deeply attached to Eleven, but with significantly more vicious impulses. He now preys on individuals who have experienced pain and shame in the past, breaking their bones every time.
So far, the only person who has escaped his clutches is Max (thanks to Kate Bush, of course), but we’re interested to see how this unfolds.
What will happen in Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2?
The last two episodes of the season will most likely see the group band together to take down the horrific creature known as Vecna — particularly now that they know his true name.
During the ‘Massacre at Hawkins Lab,’ Vecna revealed himself to be 001 – the lab’s first superpowered kid.
001 had been chipped and experimented on, with his blood being used to generate a slew of offspring with special abilities… including Eleven.
He is also, regrettably, immensely egotistical, believing that his strength demonstrates he is superior to the typical person. After eliminating all of the patients and physicians on the ward, he found himself saving Eleven, with whom he’d developed a relationship during his stay in the lab. But she refused to assist him in taking over mankind, instead overcoming him and banishing him to the Upside Down before leaving. So, to be clear, Vecna has some unfinished business, and it must begin with Elle.
Other than that, having the destiny of the world in their hands doesn’t stop these hormone-ridden teenagers from falling in and out of love. Nancy is definitely second-guessing her decision to choose Jonathan over Steve, while Steve is still carrying a torch for his previous love.
“This year’s Hawkins narrative is straight out of Nightmare On Elm Street,” Charlie Heaton (Jonathan) told GQ. “Seeing the show continue in that direction is extremely thrilling.” True, and we can anticipate the forces of evil to twist and bend reality out of shape.
Related With the reveal of a creepy new location in Season 4, Stranger Things teases Season 4.
Not only has Nightmare on Elm Street’s villain Freddie Krueger been directly referenced (by Dustin: “He’s the super burned-up dude with razors for fingers and kills you in your dreams!”), but he’s also physically appeared in the story in the form of actor Robert Englund, who plays the aged Victor Creel, so the NoES references may have peaked now for season four.
However, the franchise might potentially influence the last two episodes. As long as we don’t go too far down the Freddie Versus Jason road, it would be a nostalgia trip gone too far.
Elsewhere Mike and Eleven are trying to make the long-distance relationship work, particularly given their age, and it’s made much more difficult by Will’s growing perplexity and dissatisfaction with his own sentiments.
The mid-season finale clearly set in motion plans to get the whole group back together to confront this year’s Big Bad. Joyce, Hopper, and Murray are on their way back from Russia, Eleven is still in the lab, but the rest of the team is either back in Hawkins or on their way.
They are, however, wanted individuals, notably Eddie, who has become the target of a witchhunt by jocks who think he founded The Hellfire Club as a satanic cult and is therefore responsible for the otherwise incomprehensible fatalities.
The last we saw of the guys attempting to apprehend him, they were still looking for him… Will they return once they cross state lines?
Whatever happens, Winona Ryder is content with her little group of young actors. “We’ve clearly been working with them — most of them — for [eight] years now,” she told THR. “But I can’t help but admire them. They’ve been grounded. They’re really skilled. There is a purity to children that age, and they are very unique. These youngsters, in particular, amaze me with their kindness, thoughtfulness, and incredibleness.”
David Harbour, on the other hand, didn’t get to have as much fun in his Russian prison environment. “I wanted to strip everything naked and really truly get into a position where there wasn’t much of that joie de vivre anymore,” he said in the same interview. He was in a far worse state… There was less Harrison Ford. It was a lot more lonely or terrible place, and that’s reflected physically in his surroundings alone and in this wasteland, as well as emotionally in terms of what he’s really battling with.”
Trailer for Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2: Is there any new footage?
Unfortunately, no Stranger Things season four part two video is currently available… It’s unclear if we’ll receive any.
With just six weeks between the first portion and the two-part second section, there’s a good possibility we’ll be left to our own devices.
But we hope not! But, in the meanwhile, keep checking back and we’ll let you know if anything changes.
In the interim, there are more than 10 hours of new episodes to go through over the next several weeks.
Stranger Things seasons 1-4 volume one are now available to watch on Netflix. The second volume of Season 4 will be published on July 1, 2022.
