How to survive Back 4 Blood for the first time: 8 helpful hints
Tips on how to deal with the ragged and return to normal
This new Left 4 Dead-like title from the creators of the original game, Back 4 Blood, was developed by the same team that created Left 4 Dead. Back 4 Blood has a lot in common with its predecessor from 2008, but it also has some significant differences. You can die even on the easiest difficulty if you don’t have a well-coordinated team.
However, we’re here to assist you in regaining your zombie limbs. Here are eight strategies to help you and your fellow Cleaners survive Back 4 Blood. We’ll go through how to use Copper, where to get your cards, and how to customize your difficulty level.
Do not abandon your friends.
Back 4 Blood is a co-op game in which you will always be joined by three other players. All players in the game have AI teammates. Back 4 Blood relies on teamwork to succeed, so staying close to your teammates is critical. Keep your wits about you and stick with your group.
If you’re alone, special zombies may be able to capture you, and you’ll need the help of a companion to escape. Keep a friend or two close by if you want to live or just keep your health up.
Sola can be used to try cards prior to purchase.
There is a solo option in Back 4 Blood for those who do not have a group of zombie-hunting companions (with those aforementioned AI allies). In solitary mode, you can use all of Back 4 Blood‘s new cards, but you won’t get any benefits like Supply Points.
When you play Back 4 Blood, cards work as mini-perks that can boost your damage with specific weapon types or give you more health. You can play a different card at each safe house to give your character a different bonus. Only cards you’ve earned through the Supply Chain will be available to you when playing online with other players; however, solitary players can create their own unique, unrestricted solo decks.
There is no need to unlock any cards when using these solo decks because they let you play with all of the cards you already have. Consider what deck you’d like to bring back to town, then explore solo mode for the cards you can’t live without. Then, focus on the Supply Chains that include those cards for your multiplayer games. Make a deck.
TO PLANNING YOUR NEXT SHOP, BRING SUPPLY CHAINS TO A CLOSURE.
You may get new cards for your multiplayer decks by using Supply Chains. You can buy three Supply Chain trees at a time from the local seller in town. To purchase cards (as well as cosmetics) on each tree, you’ll need Supply Points. You must perform online missions to obtain Supply Points.
You don’t have to spend all of your money on one Supply Chain before moving on to the other two. The latter cards are more expensive, therefore finishing one Supply Chain before starting a new one is preferable. The seller will remove an option once you’ve completed a chain and replace it with a new one the next time you speak with them. Reprioritizing for your next shopping spree will be easier once you’ve completed the Supply Chain.
To get a large number of cards quickly, purchase all of the early cards from each of the three supply lines at once. Finish the chain before going on, though, if you’re looking to add fresh possibilities to your decks.
DON’T WASTE ANY COPPER BY USING UP ALL OF YOURS.
Copper can be found on the ground or on tables when escaping the zombie apocalypse. Safe houses let you spend copper on things like better weapons, painkillers, and even expanding your inventory.
Although copper is a valuable resource, don’t skimp on it. It has no effect on Fort Hope’s systems, and you’ll lose any copper you have left over once your current level group comes to an end. If you don’t know what else to buy with your money, spend it on the greatest products you can find and consider buying some for your less fortunate comrades.
It helps you to heal yourself.
In Back 4 Blood, the focus is on the group. It doesn’t matter if you’re the healthiest Cleaner in the game; if your companions die, you could still be thrown from a high structure or be crippled by a unique zombie.. However, similar to Left 4 Dead, you can use goods to heal your allies in the same way that you do. You’ll have a better chance of winning if you can keep your team alive.
Do a quick self-evaluation before applying that bandage. “Will it be me or my pal?”
Fix the difficulty level of the game.
If you’re playing the game on Veteran difficulty without a group of people you’re actively talking to, you won’t get very far in Back 4 Blood. Before attempting the harder difficulties, try playing on Recruit with a group of random players or friends to rack up Supply Points and unlock new cards.
If you get bored playing on easy, you can easily increase the difficulty. For those on Recruit, it’s important to note that progress is locked halfway through the first act. To get to Veteran, you’ll have to restart the full act from the beginning.
CONSTANTLY ASK FOR YOUR FRIENDS’ ASSISTANCE
With Back 4 Blood‘s ping mechanism, you’ll never be caught off guard again. You have the ability to ping anything you see, including zombies and other unusual items. This will draw the attention of your allies to whatever you’re focusing on. When playing with other people, this is a wonderful way to get their attention and show them a weapon you think they’ll like.
This feature is completely pointless if you’re playing by yourself. We saw no AI bots pick up the things we tagged or mount any tagged turrets in our single runs.
GET OUT!
Back 4 Blood has a lot of zombie-killing action, but sometimes it’s better to merely reserve a room instead of running after them. If you and your team aren’t attentive on certain stages, zombies will quickly overtake you and your team, even if you’re near the safe room. It’s all about the team, but sometimes it’s better if one person gets through that door and completes the level than not having anyone make it through at all.
