In order to possibly surprise the studios from the 20th century and Disney, the stupendous hairstyles of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were one of the most exciting pictures from “The Last Duel” teaser in July. Affleck has a blond-blonde appearance like Count Pierre d’Alençons, while Damon has Jean de Carrouges with a mullet.
The film is the home of “the few worst hairdos ever placed on the screen,” claims IndieWire’s “Last Duel” review. Affleck was startled by the hairstyle itself. It turns out. Affleck and Damon claimed that it was director Ridley Scott himself who got the glances, when he spoke to Entertainment Weekly.
“Ridley’s extremely visual, and he conveyed the expressions, putting the looks on our faces,” added Damon.
“We have been kind of surprised,” said Affleck. “But you believe him because he is such an amazing visual artist and filmmaker. I hope that people won’t leave the film that is centered on them. But it helps us both not to sense how others perceive us in general and to see another world in general. It’s [Scott’s] purpose that’s my conjecture. But he said essentially, ‘He’s going to look like your hair.'”
Affleck added, “I was at first thinking, ‘Wow, you actually believe it’ll work?’ But he really thought of it, so it looked like, ‘Okay, I trust you. Let’s do that.” Let’s do that. I didn’t even comprehend at what point the appearance would alter a little with the addition of the cyan and desaturation.”
Damon said that his mullet was the consequence of the continuous warfare of his character. “He wanted to fight. He just wanted to fight. And the concept of the mullet was good to Ridley as if I was simply taking a knife and cutting off my hair’s sides, just to get my helmet on,” Damon remarked. “I cared about everything.”

Affleck claimed his appearance is about “expressing power,” adding that, “I’m the patriarchy, the power structure, all these things, the way I was dressed, decorated and the hair.”
“The Last Duel” opens on October 15th, 2021 in theaters. The film will have a theater window of at least 45 days before it is streamed.
