The way in which Barbara Bush paid homage to her father, George W. Bush, and the name of her unborn child
The name of Barbara Bush’s newborn is eerily familiar.
Barbados first lady Barbara Bush gave birth to a daughter on Tuesday, and her twin sister Jenna Bush Hager revealed that the baby girl’s middle name, Cora Georgia Coyne, is in honor of their late father, former President George W. Bush.
“Yes. ‘Finally somebody named something after your dad.'” Jenna Hager recalled what her husband, Henry, had said. To honor him, and I think that’s wonderful. It was a blessing to have him as a part of our family, and I know Barbara wanted to honor him by giving her son this middle name in his honor. There is a lot on the line.”
After Cora was born, her proud granddad made a statement.
Laura and I are overjoyed to share the news of the birth of our baby granddaughter, former President George H.W. Bush stated. “Cora Georgia Coyne was born on September 27, 2021, to Barbara in Maine, not far from our family’s home where Barbara and Craig were married. We are happy and pleased that Cora is doing well.
Barbara Coyne gave birth to her first child on Monday and is recovering at her family’s Kennebunkport home with husband and new dad Craig Coyne. Jenna was unable to appear on TODAY on Wednesday because she was in Maine helping Barbara.
Jenna, a mother of three, talked about what it felt like to hold her niece for the first time and learn about being an aunt.
Because my sister and I are inseparable and have done a lot of things together, the one thing she hadn’t done was have a kid, and so I got to meet that wonderful little girl yesterday, “she explained,” There was something almost evolutionary about it.”
This was one of those life moments that you’ll never forget, so I flew as quickly as possible to be there to hold her.”
Additionally, she expressed her happiness for her sister, who had to put up with queries about creating a family after Jenna had her two daughters and a son for many years after Jenna had hers.
Many people asked her, “When are you going to have kids?” when we were writing books and traveling. Jenna made the statement. “Also, when others would question her about her job, it irritated me. However, I am aware that it was something she genuinely wanted to do.
My mother told me, ‘Everybody gets their baby when it’s time.'” When I became pregnant with Hal, I felt guilty since Barbara and I both knew (Hoda) wanted another child. And Barbara’s turn has come.”
Barbara had to give birth in Maine instead of New York since Cora was six weeks ahead of schedule,
exactly like Dylan Dreyer’s baby son, who was brought into the world on Wednesday.
She said, “I believe in divine intervention.” Jenna agreed.
According to Jenna, the baby girl will be in the neonatal intensive care unit “for a little while” after her early birth.
As a result of Cora being in Maine, Barbara was left without baby supplies, so Jenna had to drive back and forth to Target to acquire diapers and other needs while simultaneously putting up the nursery.
As Savannah Guthrie and her family prepare to welcome their new addition, Jenna’s children,
who are now staying with Savannah and her family, are overjoyed.
Jenna’s daughter, Poppy, has told “every single person in the school” about her cousin.
