Travis Barker returns to the skies 13 years after a terrifying aircraft accident.
Travis Barker has boarded his first aircraft since his terrifying plane accident in 2008.
After surviving an aircraft accident that killed four people, the Blink-182 drummer has avoided flying for almost a decade,
but he was seen boarding a flight with his girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, on Saturday (14.08.21).
Travis, Kourtney, and Corey Gamble-Kris Jenner’s boyfriend were traveling to Cabo San Lucas on a private plane, according to TMZ, and have now arrived safely in the Mexican city.
Travis recently announced, 13 years after his accident, that he might explore flying again in a brief post on Twitter.
He said on Twitter: “I’m thinking about flying again,” she wrote with an aircraft emoji.
Travis and his long-time partner DJ AM – whose actual name is Adam Michael Goldstein –
escaped an aircraft accident soon after take-off as they were leaving a concert in South Carolina, but Adam died the following year after an overdose on prescription medication.
Travis’ security guard Charles “Che” Still, his assistant Chris Baker, pilot Sarah Lemmon, and co-pilot James Bland were killed in the accident.
After the event, which left him with third-degree burns on 65 percent of his body, the artist faced a lengthy road to recovery, both emotionally and physically.
Travis also struggled with “excessive” marijuana and prescription drug usage, revealing in May that Adam’s death prompted him to stop taking narcotics.
“Travis Scott”: ‘The kids Rule the sector’
In an interview, he stated: “‘Did you go to rehab?’ people constantly ask. ‘No, I was in an aircraft accident,’ I replied. That was the extent of my rehabilitation. Have you ever lost three pals and come close to dying? That served as a wake-up call for me. I would not have resigned if I hadn’t been in a car accident. “
During the same interview, the ‘I Miss You’ singer – who is the father of Landon, 17, and Alabama, 15-discussed his desire to have a family and “make the decision to try to avoid [flying]”.
He said,” ‘Hey, I just flew here, and then I went home.’ I’d want to come back and [inform my children] if I succeed, and the angels above assist me on my journeys and keep me safe. And everything turned out great. ‘ I had to inform them since I was about to abandon them. That is an ideal day. “
