Rookie Trevor Lawrence threw two touchdown passes to lead the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 34-14 victory against the Dallas Cowboys in the last preseason game for both clubs at Arlington, Texas.
Lawrence, the first overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, threw for 139 yards on 11 of 12 passing attempts. In the first quarter, he threw an 18-yard touchdown throw to Pharoh Cooper and a 4-yard touchdown pass to Laviska Shenault Jr. in the second.
Lawrence was forced to leave the game early in the second quarter.
Devine Ozigbo completed a 68-yard running effort for the Jaguars (1-2), who used most of their starters, with a 4-yard score in the fourth quarter. The Jaguars kick off their season on Sept. 12 against the Houston Texans.
For the Cowboys (0-4), who open the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 9, Aaron Parker and Johnnie Dixon both caught a touchdown pass.
