Weight loss star Lexi Reed has been taken to the hospital because her organs are failing.
After Lexi Reed was hospitalized for an unidentified ailment, her husband issued an update on her Instagram page.
Fitness influencer Lexi Reed is starting her recovery after being put on a ventilator due to an unknown disease.
In 2016, the 31-year-old became an Instagram sensation when she revealed her weight-loss journey. As a team, she and husband Danny Reed each shed 312 pounds.
Though she was released from the hospital, she is now unable to walk, her husband said on her Facebook page.

“A few weeks ago, Lexi started feeling ill and couldn’t keep any food down,” Reed said on his wife’s Instagram. My daughter’s behavior began to change, so I rushed her to the hospital where she was put into an artificially-induced coma, on a ventilator, and informed that her organs were beginning to fail. “
If she hadn’t been taken to the hospital, he was informed it was “possible” she would have died.
His wife is no longer on a ventilator, but she is “now on dialysis, can’t walk, and (is) working on rehabilitation,” according to his most recent post.
Today’s efforts for a response from Danny and Lexi Reed were unanswered at the time of this writing.
Despite the fact that Reed and the couple do not have insurance, Reed thanked fans and followers for their “prayers” and encouraging words on Instagram.

In an interview with TODAY in January 2016, the Reeds said that they had resolved to lose weight together as a couple. After a trek on their honeymoon, Lexi, who had been 485 pounds when they married in 2015, discovered that her weight was limiting the things they could do together as a pair.
They told TODAY that in order to achieve their objectives, they had to make adjustments to their diets and workout routines. Alex lost nearly 300 pounds in the first year, while Danny, who started at 281, has lost just under 100 pounds in the same time.
Lexi also had surgical operations in 2018 and 2019 to remove several pounds of extra skin.
