This mystery-thriller from 3000 Pictures and Hello Sunshine, the Reese Witherspoon-run production company, is based on the 2018 novel by Delia Owens of the same name. The book is “painfully beautiful… a murder-mystery, a coming-of-age story, and a love of nature,” according to The NYTimes.
The film, which is being directed by Olivia Newman, is scheduled for global theatrical release on July 15, 2022. Newman has a relationship with Netflix; in 2018, he directed the independent sports film First Match for the provider.

When will Netflix US release Where the Crawdads Sing?
The specifics of how long it takes for Sony movies to appear on Netflix are still being worked out. The first few significant additions, such as Uncharted and Umma, arrived precisely 120 days after their theatrical debuts.
Where the Crawdads Sing should be available on Netflix as early as November 12th, 2022, if that is the case. Having said that, the film may arrive on Netflix much later, but as of right now, we’re anticipating a release date in either late 2022 or early 2023.
