Heupel stated that they were going to go back and study the video and assess every one.
Heupel says that they will look at the quarterback position as well, but they’ll look at everyone’s performance.
Other men may have greater chances as a result of this. Some of it may simply be cleaning up some of the things they have more control over and are better at.
Tennessee’s quarterbacks split time as the Vols (1-1) fell to Pittsburgh 41-34. (2-0).

During the preseason, Hooker and Milton faced off against returning starter Harrison Bailey.
In the last week of preseason workouts, Milton earned the starting position, while Hooker cemented himself as the No. 2 quarterback.
Heupel stated that Hendon did a fantastic job coming off the bench on Saturday, competing, giving us a chance, creating some moves with his feet, and being decisive with the ball in his hands. “There are things he would want to do differently or better.”
Hooker, who started 15 games at Virginia Tech in two seasons, went 15-of-21 throwing for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He gained 49 yards on nine carries. He also had two turnovers, one of which was a humiliating fourth-quarter interception.
After replacing Milton, who had an apparent lower leg injury when Panthers defensive lineman Keyshon Camp sacked Vols offensive lineman Ollie Lane, the senior got off to a sluggish start.
Hooker took over when Milton walked to the UT locker room.
Heupel remarked that (Hooker) gave them a chance there in the second half.
On Hooker’s first drive, the Vols went three-and-out. the next drive, wide receiver Jimmy Calloway made a tremendous run after grab for a 44-yard score.
On Tennessee’s first drive of the third quarter, Hooker fumbled on a sack before settling in halfway and leading the Volunteers to a pair of touchdown drives.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Hooker utilized his legs to bring Tennessee into the red zone, but the Vols were stopped on a fourth-and-1 try at the Pittsburgh 3. Hooker threw an interception on UT’s last offensive play after UT regained possession.
Heupel said, “You’d best know where the rear safety is.” “Clearly, he didn’t. The child approached and began to play. He grabbed the ball and made a play.”
Prior to his departure, Milton was 7-for-12 throwing for 50 yards.
He ran five times for 54 yards, including a 54-yard gallop in the second quarter. However, the big-armed quarterback continued to struggle with downfield accuracy, as he did against Bowling Green in the opener.
In the first quarter, Milton launched a beautiful throw to Jalin Hyatt that was intercepted, but he whiffed on subsequent long tries. On Tennessee’s third drive of the game, he threw three interceptions, including a likely touchdown pass to Cedric Tillman.
Heupel said that they had several players running free and weren’t able to complete the play and at the end of the day, it didn’t matter how you did it; you had to convert and finish those things in order to generate huge plays.
Milton threw for 139 yards on 11-of-23 passing against Bowling Green. Bailey hasn’t played since starting the last three games of the 2020 season.
Heupel says It’s a game-by-game assessment and This applies to everyone. They’ve reached the halfway point of our 12-game adventure. Isn’t it all they have to look forward to? You take each week as it comes.
